Spectators: 7750 (Terracing: 5814, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Iivari Elovaara made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Iivari Elovaara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pauli Pettinen. The goal made the score 1-0. If Onni Hevonkorpi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Paksal FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Joonatan Pulkkinen hit a great ball. When Onni Hevonkorpi came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Mankala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onni Hevonkorpi couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Iivari Elovaara fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pauli Pettinen, passed just outside the right post. Paksal FC's Pauli Pettinen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Paksal FC from getting a goal against them. Onni Hevonkorpi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 20th playminute. Joonatan Pulkkinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolai Hentunen having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Hannu Laulaja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Iivari Elovaara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pauli Pettinen, 3-0. Pauli Pettinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iivari Elovaara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Paksal FC's Joonatan Pulkkinen got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Onni Hevonkorpi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iivari Elovaara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Jaakko Lamminen made a precise shot to the right of Nikolai Hentunen. Mankala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaakko Lamminen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kai Eronen came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mankala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai Eronen couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Mankala's zone, Tauno Timoska stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikolai Hentunen came out of the goal and Tauno Timoska tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pauli Pettinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iivari Elovaara in the 65th minute of play. Iivari Elovaara struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Pauli Pettinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mankala. Tauno Timoska sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Mankala got a freekick which was hit by Kai Eronen. Jaakko Lamminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolai Hentunen having to interfere. Pauli Pettinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iivari Elovaara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paksal FC's Jaakko Lamminen got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaakko Lamminen in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikolai Hentunen saved Mankala from getting behind. Paksal FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
