Nikolai Hentunen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ensio Snellman in the 31st minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iivari Elovaara was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Mankala's zone, Jani Viinikainen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikolai Hentunen came out of the goal and Jani Viinikainen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jani Viinikainen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikolai Hentunen was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After 69 played minutes Mankala got a freekick which was hit by Iivari Elovaara. When Karhukorpi's Ensio Snellman in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mankala's goalie prevented a goal. Ensio Snellman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nikolai Hentunen having to make a save. In the 76th minute Jani Viinikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolai Hentunen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Onni Hevonkorpi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jani Viinikainen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arsi Siren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kai Eronen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 99 minute of play. The Mankala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mankala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
