When Aatu Rahkonen came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tuorila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aatu Rahkonen couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tuorila's Aatu Rahkonen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pirkka Määttänen. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eevert Luhtio during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aatu Rahkonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pirkka Määttänen having to interfere. Tuorila's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Fc Baljars booed when Tuorila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kuisma Kankaanpää didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keimo Petsamo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sami Rinne, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Keimo Petsamo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmo Vainio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After having played for 54 minutes, Sami Rinne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Baljars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sami Rinne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Osmo Vainio came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Fc Baljars fans jumped to their feet. In the 58th match minute, Tuorila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heikki Valin to maneuver through the defense. Tuorila's Keimo Petsamo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sami Rinne in the 87th minute of play. Osmo Vainio struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Keimo Petsamo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Baljars. Tuorila were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fc Baljars for a fine match.
