Spectators: 6798 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1798, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Heino Helenius took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksi Etula in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Onni Lehto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rainer Andersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Samuel Blomberg made a huge save. The supporters of Ristonmäki IFK booed when Saukoski FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otso Kultti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Onni Lehto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jani Kärkkäinen's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Saukoski FC's zone, Aleksi Etula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Onni Lehto came out of the goal and Aleksi Etula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heino Helenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Blomberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heino Helenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Heino Helenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Onni Lehto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksi Etula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jani Kärkkäinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Onni Lehto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aleksi Etula in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Onni Lehto saved Saukoski FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Saukoski FC's Kalervo Tarvajärvi got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes of play, Ristonmäki IFK's Aleksi Etula made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Onni Lehto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Onni Lehto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jani Kärkkäinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jani Kärkkäinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Onni Lehto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Onni Lehto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksi Etula in the 43rd minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ristonmäki IFK's Jani Kärkkäinen got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Aleksi Etula made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Saukoski FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sami Okkonen who took care of the corner kick. Ristonmäki IFK's Sami Okkonen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Onni Lehto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Ristonmäki IFK's Silvo Hilden got a free kick in the 55th minute. Samuel Blomberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heino Helenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heino Helenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Blomberg having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Ristonmäki IFK's Silvo Hilden seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Silvo Hilden the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ristonmäki IFK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Silvo Hilden had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Ristonmäki IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Saukoski FC:s goal. Jari Pakaslahti shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saukoski FC's goalkeeper Onni Lehto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jani Kärkkäinen took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Onni Lehto. Onni Lehto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ristonmäki IFK's Samuel Blomberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainer Andersson in the 86th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Heino Helenius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saukoski FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Ristonmäki IFK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
