Spectators: 7657 (Terracing: 5845, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 20) Jarmo Noronen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Valdemar Litja came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Karankamäki's Pekko Tuomisalo. But to his dismay, Pekko Tuomisalo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Sami Äijälä kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Petri Petsamo. That made the score 1-2 in the 19 minute of play. Pekko Tuomisalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sami Äijälä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mika Kaven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Petsamo having to interfere. Petri Petsamo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Äijälä in the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jarmo Noronen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdemar Litja was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Janne Ryynänen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Litja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Valdemar Litja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pekko Tuomisalo in the 44th minute of the match. Sami Äijälä was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Sulkulahti's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jeremias Valjakka kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sami Äijälä stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarmo Noronen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Valdemar Litja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sulkulahti's Valdemar Litja got control of the ball when Kimmo Manninen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdemar Litja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarmo Noronen in the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sulkulahti's Toni Varis got a free kick in the 67th minute. Karankamäki's Kaleva Nielikäinen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valdemar Litja but with some difficulty. Sulkulahti's Valdemar Litja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Sulkulahti from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Sulkulahti's goal looked a bit too open when Kimmo Manninen came free, but Valdemar Litja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pekko Tuomisalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikolai Korkeakoski during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nikolai Korkeakoski hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Sulkulahti's goal looked a bit too open when Jarmo Noronen came free, but Valdemar Litja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarmo Noronen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdemar Litja having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jarmo Noronen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karankamäki's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarmo Noronen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Litja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 98 played minutes Karankamäki got a freekick which was hit by Kimmo Manninen. Petri Petsamo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mika Kaven in the 99th minute of play. When the match was over Karankamäki could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sulkulahti throughout the match.
