In the 30th minute, Elias Kuusiniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petri Puistola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Isko Jussila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Petri Puistola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herkko Lampinen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isko Jussila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Vihtori Lydman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venetheitto IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vihtori Lydman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vihtori Lydman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isko Jussila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, Venetheitto IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Ilpo Henriksson came free, but Eetu Kuki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
