Spectators: 7562 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 150) Tuuri IFK's Veli Lehtilä started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jari Karjalainen came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the FC EnsaAcademy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jari Karjalainen couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Tuuri IFK's Aatu Uitto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kai Lehtimäki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Reima Vähä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuuri IFK's Reino Virolainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reima Vähä in the 21st minute of play. If Jari Karjalainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reima Vähä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play, FC EnsaAcademy's Jari Karjalainen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reino Virolainen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 minutes, Juhani Laulaja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC EnsaAcademy and the Tuuri IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes FC EnsaAcademy got a freekick which was hit by Juhani Laulaja. In the 37th minute, Otto Lagerblom sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC EnsaAcademy's Kai Lehtimäki didn't even have to move. FC EnsaAcademy's Kai Lehtimäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aatu Uitto in the 40th minute of play. Veli Lehtilä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reima Vähä made a kick off. A collision led to Tuuri IFK getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Pekka Kamppuri hit a great ball. Reino Virolainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jari Karjalainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 minutes, Veli Lehtilä mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuuri IFK and the FC EnsaAcademy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Veli Lehtilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reima Vähä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Reino Virolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Tuuri IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Reima Vähä came free, but Reino Virolainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jari Karjalainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reino Virolainen having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taavi Ruutu during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Aatu Uitto made a precise shot to the right of Kai Lehtimäki. FC EnsaAcademy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Otto Lagerblom charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otto Lagerblom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC EnsaAcademy booed when Tuuri IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Lagerblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuuri IFK's Veli Lehtilä got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jari Karjalainen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Reino Virolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Veli Lehtilä reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kai Lehtimäki. The goal made the score 1-2. Kai Lehtimäki made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Aatu Uitto sent off a good shot on target. The Tuuri IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tuuri IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
