Jaakob Kuusela started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Aarto Pihlman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Untamo Hedberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aarto Pihlman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 played minutes Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Aki Kotilahti. In the 12th minute Santtu Puistola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervásio Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Samuli Markkanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match, Aarto Pihlman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Untamo Hedberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hersteinn Freysson during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Hersteinn Freysson. In the 22nd minute, Aarto Pihlman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Untamo Hedberg came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Mountain State's Hersteinn Freysson. But to his dismay, Hersteinn Freysson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 28th minute, Blue Mountain State's Aarto Pihlman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Untamo Hedberg. Untamo Hedberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pasi Manneroos in the 34th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Gervásio Castilho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Blue Mountain State's Aatami Meltoranta got a free kick in the 36th minute. Hersteinn Freysson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Untamo Hedberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aarto Pihlman to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Aki Kotilahti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the game, Aarto Pihlman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Untamo Hedberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pellervo Lehtonen to maneuver through the defense. Untamo Hedberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarto Pihlman in the 72nd minute of the match. Anton Taipale kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Hersteinn Freysson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rdth minute of the game Hersteinn Freysson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raiteepee's Untamo Hedberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Raiteepee booed when Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pellervo Lehtonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jaakob Kuusela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raiteepee's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaakob Kuusela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervásio Castilho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Untamo Hedberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aarto Pihlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Blue Mountain State were the better team. Blue Mountain State's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
