In the 39th minute Ossian Vapaniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juuso Pärssinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Lari Koskinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lari Koskinen to strike the kick off in the second half. Juuso Pärssinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ossian Vapaniemi in the 57th minute of play. If Jonne Turpeinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Yrjänä Reinikka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diako AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kiimkallio IFK the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonne Turpeinen in the 65th minute of play forced Diako AC's goalkeeper Jonne Leino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66th play minutes Lari Koskinen shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonne Leino and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 72nd minute, Ossian Vapaniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonne Leino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lari Koskinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
