Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Veikka Reinikka started the match with the kick off. Jonne Leino acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Heikki Myllylä. Pertti Lahikainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonne Leino having to interfere. If Lasse Puistola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 24 played minutes Koivulahti IFK got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Kujanpää. Otto Rinne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lasse Puistola in the 29th minute of play. If Pertti Lahikainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Diako AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yrjänä Reinikka to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Kaapo Eklund in the 35th minute really tested Jonne Leino's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jonne Leino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veikka Reinikka in the 37th minute of the match. Diako AC's Jonne Leino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veikka Reinikka in the 37th minute of play. Eelis Nyrhinen charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eelis Nyrhinen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Eelis Nyrhinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lasse Puistola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ossian Vapaniemi to strike the kick off in the second half. Otto Rinne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ossian Vapaniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Pertti Lahikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonne Leino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Koivulahti IFK's Pertti Lahikainen in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diako AC's goalie prevented a goal. Otto Rinne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ossian Vapaniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute of the match, Ossian Vapaniemi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Otto Rinne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veikka Reinikka in the 69th minute of play forced Diako AC's goalkeeper Jonne Leino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, Diako AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilmo Salminen to maneuver through the defense. If Pertti Lahikainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Ossian Vapaniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Rinne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lasse Puistola might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Otto Rinne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lasse Puistola ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonne Leino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pertti Lahikainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Veikka Reinikka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Koivulahti IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Veikka Reinikka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonne Leino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonne Leino came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Koivulahti IFK's Veikka Reinikka. But to his dismay, Veikka Reinikka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jonne Leino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pertti Lahikainen's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Koivulahti IFK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
