After 5 played minutes Diako AC got a freekick which was hit by Yrjänä Reinikka. Jonne Leino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Metsäranta in the 10th minute of play. Diako AC's Jonne Leino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvesteri Hotakainen in the 11th minute of play. Yrjänä Reinikka kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Diako AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JK JOGA the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Diako AC's zone, Hannes Metsäranta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonne Leino came out of the goal and Hannes Metsäranta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Diako AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Usko Sinkkonen to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sylvesteri Hotakainen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonne Leino was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Ossian Vapaniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK JOGA's goalkeeper Janne Kolsi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Janne Kolsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ossian Vapaniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diako AC's Jonne Leino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Diako AC from getting a goal against them. Usko Sinkkonen hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Hannes Metsäranta notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Diako AC's Jonne Leino. Jonne Leino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Sylvesteri Hotakainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JK JOGA's Sylvesteri Hotakainen got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Usko Sinkkonen hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ossian Vapaniemi was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, JK JOGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Salo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Diako AC's Ilmo Salminen tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lasse Puistola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Kolsi having to interfere. Jonne Leino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylvesteri Hotakainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ossian Vapaniemi took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Janne Kolsi. Janne Kolsi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 71 minutes into the game, Hannes Metsäranta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jonne Leino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75thth minute of the game Hannes Metsäranta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diako AC's Jonne Leino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sylvesteri Hotakainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the game, Hannes Metsäranta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonne Leino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albert Wallden kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, JK JOGA's goalkeeper Janne Kolsi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lasse Puistola. Jonne Leino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvesteri Hotakainen in the 87th minute of play. Ossian Vapaniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonne Leino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Metsäranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that JK JOGA were the better team. JK JOGA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
