The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lari Koskinen in the 4th minute of play forced Myllykoski FC's goalkeeper Santeri Ukkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 played minutes, Kiimkallio IFK's Artturi Ruuttu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santeri Ukkonen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kiimkallio IFK reached it. Jaakko Suutarinen struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Juuso Pärssinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Myllykoski FC. The supporters of Myllykoski FC booed when Kiimkallio IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eljas Väänänen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Juhana Hilden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, Kiimkallio IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Hilden to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Pekka Kangasniemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Santeri Ukkonen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olavi Kimmonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juuso Pärssinen having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Kiimkallio IFK's goalkeeper Juuso Pärssinen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaakko Suutarinen. Olavi Kimmonen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juuso Pärssinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavi Kimmonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Eljas Väänänen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes, Aaro Ojansuu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Myllykoski FC and the Kiimkallio IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aaro Ojansuu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Juhana Hilden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lari Koskinen to strike the kick off in the second half. Juhana Hilden might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juuso Pärssinen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juhana Hilden ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonne Turpeinen got free with Santeri Ukkonen in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
