The referee ignored Korsnös's protests and gave Iivari Ruutu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Korsnös getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Iivari Ruutu hit a great ball. Aki Kaukonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuomo Hakaniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Mauno Paatelainen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aki Kaukonen was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Taisto Miinalainen charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Mauno Paatelainen came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Korsnös fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauno Paatelainen couldn't finish the play. Tuomo Hakaniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Aki Kaukonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taneli Tervonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvo Viander, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Korsnös's zone, Arvo Viander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taneli Tervonen came out of the goal and Arvo Viander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. bertula pingvins's Aki Kaukonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauno Paatelainen in the 43rd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arvo Viander to strike the kick off in the second half. Aki Kaukonen made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Tuomo Hakaniemi sent off a good shot on target. After recieving a nice pass, bertula pingvins's Manne Äijälä tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, bertula pingvins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taito Hyökyvaara to maneuver through the defense. Taneli Tervonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arvo Viander during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arvo Viander hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The supporters of bertula pingvins booed when Korsnös was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuomo Parkkali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Usko Koskela struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Taneli Tervonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for bertula pingvins. After a rather tough play, bertula pingvins's Manne Äijälä got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 96th match minute, Korsnös was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miikka Saarelainen to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
