Eetu Haapaniemi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kalervo Snellman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Into Kouhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kalervo Snellman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sumarinkylä FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Imatran palloseura were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaron Torkkeli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Patrik Puutio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalervo Snellman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 66 minutes into the game, Eetu Haapaniemi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kalervo Snellman. Eetu Haapaniemi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Kalervo Snellman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Huttunen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Arvi Kahra's late challenge caught a Imatran palloseura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvi Kahra helped the player get up and apologised. 86 minutes into the game, one of Sumarinkylä FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Kalervo Snellman, was totally fooled by Imatran palloseura's Julius Huttunen, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 91 minutes, Julius Huttunen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imatran palloseura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julius Huttunen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Into Kouhi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imatran palloseura's supporters rose to their feet, but Into Kouhi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalervo Snellman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Sumarinkylä FC defense, Patrik Puutio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kalervo Snellman. The Sumarinkylä FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalervo Snellman should have stopped the shot.
