Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Klaus Kirjonen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lindal IFK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Klaus Kirjonen scored to the left of an out of position Kaapro Tuominen, making the score, 1-0. Tarvo Mikkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus Vähäsavo in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Lindal IFK booed when Korentovaara IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarmo Harjula didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Korentovaara IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Vähäsavo came free, but Tarvo Mikkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Viljo Petriläinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarvo Mikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Eemil Kärkkäinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Korentovaara IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lindal IFK the free kick. Lindal IFK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Klaus Kirjonen 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Klaus Vähäsavo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarvo Mikkonen having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Samu Ristolainen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaapro Tuominen. Lindal IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samu Ristolainen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaus Kirjonen in the 38th minute of play forced Lindal IFK's goalkeeper Kaapro Tuominen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarvo Mikkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Vähäsavo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lari Saarinen's late challenge caught a Lindal IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lari Saarinen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Lari Saarinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Kaapro Tuominen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Korentovaara IFK were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Lindal IFK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ossi Paananen took the corner. Korentovaara IFK's Ilkka Hagelberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kaapro Tuominen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viljo Petriläinen made a kick off. In the 57th minute Klaus Kirjonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaapro Tuominen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lindal IFK's Kaapro Tuominen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Kirjonen in the 63rd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Viljo Petriläinen notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Korentovaara IFK's Tarvo Mikkonen. Tarvo Mikkonen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 71 played minutes, Lindal IFK's Taavi Vihermäki shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tarvo Mikkonen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lindal IFK reached it. Klaus Kirjonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, Lindal IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ukko Laakso to maneuver through the defense. If Samu Ristolainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lindal IFK's Miska Helavuori got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Samu Ristolainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaapro Tuominen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Taavi Vihermäki kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Kaapro Tuominen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klaus Kirjonen's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. If Samu Ristolainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eemil Kärkkäinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaapro Tuominen having to interfere. After some careless play in the Lindal IFK defense, Samu Ristolainen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaapro Tuominen. The Lindal IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaapro Tuominen should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Korentovaara IFK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
