In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hirslahti FC's goalkeeper Pentti Lätti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ossi Kaarniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pentti Lätti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niilo Kopelmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jukka-Pekka Sulku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valtteri Tallqvist having to interfere. Valtteri Tallqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvi Ollonen in the 20th minute of the match. Jukka-Pekka Sulku blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valtteri Tallqvist having to make a save. In the 25th match minute, Höjdbackens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eero Möksy to maneuver through the defense. Alvi Ollonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valtteri Tallqvist having to interfere. Jukka-Pekka Sulku recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erkki Hanninen hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Pentti Lätti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niilo Kopelmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Höjdbackens IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jukka-Pekka Sulku fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvi Ollonen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alvi Ollonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valtteri Tallqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hirslahti FC booed when Höjdbackens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teuvo Norrena didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvi Ollonen in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valtteri Tallqvist saved Höjdbackens IF from getting behind. 55 minutes into the game, Joel Alatalo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Höjdbackens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hirslahti FC the free kick. The supporters of Hirslahti FC booed when Höjdbackens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Alatalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jukka-Pekka Sulku hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alvi Ollonen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valtteri Tallqvist was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Alvi Ollonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Hirslahti FC's Pentti Lätti got control of the ball when Ossi Kaarniemi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Höjdbackens IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
