ABK 73's Jesse Harinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severi Lähitie in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute, Kari Kaipainen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Turku fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Severi Lähitie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jesse Harinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 16 in the game by Aarno Airisto from a close distance when the talented Jesse Harinen managed to make a qualified save. ABK 73's players were relieved. If Aarno Airisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, ABK 73's Jesse Harinen got control of the ball when Aarno Airisto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severi Lähitie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jesse Harinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes in the game, Aarno Airisto dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 32 minutes, Joni Miinalainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ABK 73 and the FC Turku players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Turku booed when ABK 73 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joni Miinalainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severi Lähitie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Aarno Airisto managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Turku's supporters rose to their feet, but Aarno Airisto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesse Harinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reko Pietiläinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Erkki Laitila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Erkki Laitila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ABK 73's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erkki Laitila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Severi Lähitie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Harinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jesse Harinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarno Airisto in the 51st minute of the match. If Severi Lähitie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aarno Airisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Harinen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ABK 73's zone, Aarno Airisto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesse Harinen came out of the goal and Aarno Airisto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ABK 73's Reko Pietiläinen got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Aarno Airisto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ABK 73's Jesse Harinen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Reko Pietiläinen fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ABK 73's protests and gave Reko Pietiläinen a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes ABK 73 got a freekick which was hit by Reko Pietiläinen. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind ABK 73's goalkeeper Jesse Harinen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute Severi Lähitie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Harinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Severi Lähitie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aarno Airisto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesse Harinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severi Lähitie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severi Lähitie scored 2-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesse Harinen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in ABK 73's zone, Aarno Airisto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesse Harinen came out of the goal and Aarno Airisto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Turku had played much better football throughout.
