The supporters of FC Royal Steers booed when JRiikolan Tiimi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sami Helkamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mika Takavirta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jami Pölönen in the 15th minute of play. Aimo Hassinen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Miikka Pulkkinen made a huge save. When JRiikolan Tiimi's Aimo Hassinen in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aimo Hassinen in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miikka Pulkkinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 27 in the game by Aimo Hassinen from a close distance when the talented Miikka Pulkkinen managed to make a qualified save. FC Royal Steers's players were relieved. Juuso Karalahti might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miikka Pulkkinen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juuso Karalahti ran back to his position shaking his head. Aimo Hassinens short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Miikka Pulkkinen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 37 minutes, Sami Helkamo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JRiikolan Tiimi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sami Helkamo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Pyry Reinikainen suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Keijo Hati fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Royal Steers's protests and gave Keijo Hati a yellow card for diving instead. JRiikolan Tiimi's Julius Kuivalainen was substituted for Pyry Reinikainen. The supporters of JRiikolan Tiimi booed when FC Royal Steers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keijo Hati didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Aimo Hassinen put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miikka Pulkkinen. In the 45th match minute, FC Royal Steers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Katila to maneuver through the defense. Aimo Hassinen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Miikka Pulkkinen firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 48th minute, Uolevi Tuores made a precise shot to the right of Mika Takavirta. JRiikolan Tiimi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aimo Hassinen to strike the kick off in the second half. JRiikolan Tiimi's Miro Willman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Aimo Hassinen put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Miikka Pulkkinen. Jami Pölönen's late challenge caught a JRiikolan Tiimi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jami Pölönen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Royal Steers getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jami Pölönen hit a great ball. Miikka Pulkkinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aimo Hassinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Sami Helkamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miikka Pulkkinen having to interfere. Juuso Karalahti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Miikka Pulkkinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hannu Hanninen hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Uolevi Tuores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mika Takavirta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Juuso Karalahti came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the JRiikolan Tiimi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juuso Karalahti couldn't finish the play. Jami Pölönen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Mika Takavirta made a huge save. If Miro Willman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Aimo Hassinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miikka Pulkkinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Royal Steers's zone, Sami Helkamo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miikka Pulkkinen came out of the goal and Sami Helkamo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, FC Royal Steers's goal looked a bit too open when Aimo Hassinen came free, but Miikka Pulkkinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mika Takavirta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keijo Hati in the 99th minute. There was no doubt that JRiikolan Tiimi were the better team. JRiikolan Tiimi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
