After 5 played minutes FC Royal Steers got a freekick which was hit by Hannu Hanninen. 9 minutes into the match, Kalevi Saarinen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Royal Steers's Miikka Pulkkinen. Miikka Pulkkinen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pauli Penttilä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes of play, KESKUSTAN HK's Kalevi Saarinen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miikka Pulkkinen was left in no man's land by his defense there! KESKUSTAN HK's Pauli Penttilä got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Keijo Hati struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Hannu Ikola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Royal Steers. In the 25th minute Pauli Penttilä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miikka Pulkkinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keijo Hati kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Miikka Pulkkinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalevi Saarinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miikka Pulkkinen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kalevi Saarinen went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Albert Siivonen charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Siivonen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Albert Siivonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pauli Penttilä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yrjänä Väänänen charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Pauli Penttilä came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the KESKUSTAN HK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pauli Penttilä couldn't finish the play. Hannu Ikola didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Royal Steers's Keijo Hati shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uolevi Tuores was the one to do the kick off. Mikko Laakkonen charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Torsti Voutilainen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Pauli Penttilä succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 70th playminute. 77 minutes into the match, KESKUSTAN HK's goal looked a bit too open when Uolevi Tuores came free, but Hannu Ikola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miikka Pulkkinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalevi Saarinen in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, KESKUSTAN HK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Päiviö Rauvola to maneuver through the defense. KESKUSTAN HK's Hannu Ikola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keijo Hati in the 86th minute of play. If Keijo Hati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, KESKUSTAN HK's goal looked a bit too open when Uolevi Tuores came free, but Hannu Ikola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KESKUSTAN HK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
