After a rather tough play, JRiikolan Tiimi's Julius Kuivalainen got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Ali Turunen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mika Takavirta skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to JRiikolan Tiimi getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Aimo Hassinen hit a great ball. Mika Takavirta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saku Sulonen in the 15th minute of play. Juuso Karalahti's late challenge caught a Karis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juuso Karalahti helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to JRiikolan Tiimi getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Juuso Karalahti hit a great ball. Aimo Hassinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Jorma Salomaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. JRiikolan Tiimi's Julius Kuivalainen got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aimo Hassinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After a rather tough play, Karis's Tino Lampi got a free kick in the 54th minute. Karis's Joni Rinne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aimo Hassinen in the 57th minute of play. Pyry Reinikainen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joni Rinne. Karis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tino Lampi kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Aimo Hassinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Karis getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tino Lampi hit a great ball. Jorma Salomaa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, JRiikolan Tiimi's Mika Takavirta got control of the ball when Arvo Hänninen tried to sneak it across the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in JRiikolan Tiimi reached it. Aimo Hassinen struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Joni Rinne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JRiikolan Tiimi. Aimo Hassinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Joni Rinne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Aimo Hassinen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joni Rinne was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 88 minutes into the match, JRiikolan Tiimi's goalkeeper Mika Takavirta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvo Hänninen. The audience was convinced that Aimo Hassinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joni Rinne was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Karis's zone, Miro Willman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joni Rinne came out of the goal and Miro Willman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that JRiikolan Tiimi were the better team. JRiikolan Tiimi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
