In the 2nd minute, Yrjänä Väänänen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hannu Ikola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Haapaniemi in the 12th minute of the match. When Torsti Voutilainen fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KESKUSTAN HK's protests and gave Torsti Voutilainen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kohmujärvi IFK booed when KESKUSTAN HK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsti Voutilainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sulevi Viander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pauli Penttilä in the 17th minute. Mika Pakarinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannu Ikola having to interfere. One of KESKUSTAN HK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kohmujärvi IFK:s goal. Miko Kangasalusta charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miko Kangasalusta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kohmujärvi IFK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Miko Kangasalusta hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Pauli Penttilä could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Sulevi Viander however easily saved by the left post. Hannu Ikola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mika Pakarinen in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Kohmujärvi IFK booed when KESKUSTAN HK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pauli Penttilä made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Miko Kangasalusta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hannu Ikola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, KESKUSTAN HK's Yrjänä Väänänen got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 58 played minutes KESKUSTAN HK got a freekick which was hit by Henrikki Manninen. After recieving a nice pass, Kohmujärvi IFK's Miko Kangasalusta tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Paul Haapaniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hannu Ikola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paul Haapaniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrikki Manninen kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Kohmujärvi IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Pauli Penttilä came free, but Sulevi Viander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Kohmujärvi IFK got a freekick which was hit by Yrjänä Söderström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pauli Penttilä in the 91st minute of play forced Kohmujärvi IFK's goalkeeper Sulevi Viander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mika Pakarinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannu Ikola having to interfere. Kohmujärvi IFK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
