Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ilppo Saarelainen started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Valio Myllykoski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ristilä FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valio Myllykoski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes in the game, Kaarlo Saastamoinen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pauli Eloranta having to interfere. Ristilä FC's Heino Pitkämäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilppo Saarelainen in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ristilä FC's Onni Tuomisaari got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Ilppo Saarelainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Halmeniemi IFK's goalkeeper Pauli Eloranta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Kaarlo Saastamoinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ristilä FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaarlo Saastamoinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pauli Eloranta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valio Myllykoskis short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Pauli Eloranta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valio Myllykoski in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pauli Eloranta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Halmeniemi IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaarlo Saastamoinen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Valio Myllykoski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pauli Eloranta having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Halmeniemi IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Kaarlo Saastamoinen came free, but Pauli Eloranta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valio Myllykoski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Pauli Eloranta made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience was convinced that Kaarlo Saastamoinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pauli Eloranta was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilppu Lumme during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Halmeniemi IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilppu Lumme to maneuver through the defense. Halmeniemi IFK's Pauli Eloranta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valio Myllykoski in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Halmeniemi IFK getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vilppu Lumme hit a great ball. Halmeniemi IFK's Pauli Eloranta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarlo Saastamoinen in the 94th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Ristilä FC's Kaarlo Saastamoinen made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pauli Eloranta was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Ristilä FC were the better team. Ristilä FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
