Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 155) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sulho Hautaniemi took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sulho Hautaniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Metalupuass's Kerkko Paavola in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MYPA's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Janne Parkkonen got free with Rafael Haapaniemi in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Jaakoppi Vapaniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Metalupuass's zone, Urpo Pesonen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Haapaniemi came out of the goal and Urpo Pesonen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Janne Parkkonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rafael Haapaniemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anssi Palo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerkko Paavola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raine Kirjonen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kerkko Paavola in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anssi Palo saved MYPA from getting behind. The Metalupuass fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Metalupuass's Sulho Hautaniemi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in MYPA's zone, Kerkko Paavola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anssi Palo came out of the goal and Kerkko Paavola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
After 52 played minutes Sulho Hautaniemi rounded MYPA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. The audience was convinced that Tomi Pulkkinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Haapaniemi was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. When Tomi Pulkkinen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the MYPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomi Pulkkinen couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute of the match, Sulho Hautaniemi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anssi Palo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Metalupuass's Rafael Haapaniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomi Pulkkinen in the 93rd minute of play. The Metalupuass supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Metalupuass would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
