Toimi Hietaharju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arvi Sairanen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hästö's Arvi Sairanen got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Raumo's zone, Konsta Kokkonen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heikki Junkka came out of the goal and Konsta Kokkonen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 13 in the game by Anton Kinnunen from a close distance when the talented Joakim Lätti managed to make a qualified save. Hästö's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Hästö's zone, Toimi Hietaharju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Lätti came out of the goal and Toimi Hietaharju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mikko Setälä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 23 played minutes FC Raumo got a freekick which was hit by Taisto Jussilainen. In the 24th minute, Sakari Hannukainen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Raumo's Heikki Junkka didn't even have to move. Toimi Hietaharju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Lätti having to interfere. Heikki Junkka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arvi Sairanen went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Arvi Sairanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute of the match, Toimi Hietaharju tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joakim Lätti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Konsta Kokkonen's late challenge caught a FC Raumo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konsta Kokkonen helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Anton Kinnunen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Raumo's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Kinnunen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joakim Lätti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Raumo's Niko Marttila got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toimi Hietaharju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Anton Kinnunen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joakim Lätti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Toimi Hietaharju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toimi Hietaharju in the 83rd minute of play forced Hästö's goalkeeper Joakim Lätti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Konsta Kokkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hästö's Joakim Lätti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toimi Hietaharju in the 93rd minute of play.
