Spectators: 6779 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toimi Hietaharju kicked off to start the match. Toimi Hietaharju took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Turo Piekkanen. Turo Piekkanen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Turo Piekkanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toimi Hietaharju, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Piltola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Toimi Hietaharju came free, but Turo Piekkanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Raumo's zone, Arvi Tammisto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heikki Junkka came out of the goal and Arvi Tammisto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toimi Hietaharju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Turo Piekkanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toimi Hietaharju's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Turo Piekkanen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After 32 minutes, Arho Helminen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Raumo and the Piltola FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arho Helminen kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Piltola FC's Toni Haataja tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Piltola FC defense, Toimi Hietaharju kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Turo Piekkanen. The Piltola FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Turo Piekkanen should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, FC Raumo's Heikki Junkka got control of the ball when Oliver Lehterä tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, FC Raumo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niko Marttila to maneuver through the defense. After the first half FC Raumo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arvi Tammisto was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Piltola FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismo Hakanen. After 57 played minutes Piltola FC got a freekick which was hit by Jari Salmelainen. 66 minutes into the game, Ismo Hakanen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piltola FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Raumo the free kick. After 66 played minutes Piltola FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismo Hakanen. Heikki Junkka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismo Hakanen in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arvi Tammisto in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heikki Junkka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Raumo's Anton Kinnunen got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piltola FC's Arvi Tammisto got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anton Kinnunen came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Raumo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Kinnunen couldn't finish the play. Turo Piekkanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toimi Hietaharju in the 93rd minute of play.
