When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mikko Vallin sped through FCB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Esa Enola. In the 17th match minute, Pinomäki Horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marko Piispa to maneuver through the defense. Pinomäki Horses's Eerik Ruisniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kustaa Ruhanen in the 18th minute of play. Tapio Mikkonen kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pinomäki Horses's Turo Pölönen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 27 played minutes Pinomäki Horses got a freekick which was hit by Perttu Penttilä. Eerik Ruisniemi came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by FCB's Arsi Oksa. But to his dismay, Arsi Oksa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Esa Enola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikko Vallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The supporters of FCB booed when Pinomäki Horses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pauli Koivisto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antto Haapaniemi made a kick off. Eerik Ruisniemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Kankaanpää, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Mikko Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esa Enola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antto Haapaniemi in the 54th minute of play. Tapio Mikkonen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to Pinomäki Horses getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Perttu Penttilä hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Antto Haapaniemi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinomäki Horses fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 84th match minute, FCB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valio Koivuniemi to maneuver through the defense. Mikko Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mikko Vallin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
