Esa Enola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turkka Haapaporras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petri Lampi in the 8th minute of play forced FCB's goalkeeper Esa Enola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kustaa Ruhanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsi Oksa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kaleva Jaakola. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Petri Lampi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Edvard Kankaanpää managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvard Kankaanpää was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Petri Lampi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FCB's zone, Turkka Haapaporras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esa Enola came out of the goal and Turkka Haapaporras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kustaa Ruhanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kaleva Jaakola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

FCB's Esa Enola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turkka Haapaporras in the 55th minute of play. Mauri Metsäranta hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Petri Lampi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petri Lampi came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Esa Enola could save by the left post. Esa Enola was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Petri Lampi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 62 minute of play. If Kustaa Ruhanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kustaa Ruhanen in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaleva Jaakola saved Sporting Ratboy from getting behind. Sporting Ratboy's Petri Lampi got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Mauri Metsäranta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sporting Ratboy booed when FCB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vili Räsänen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Ratboy were furious when Kustaa Loikala was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting Ratboy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FCB a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paavo Häppölä, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sporting Ratboy's Kaleva Jaakola. 2-2. Kaleva Jaakola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kustaa Ruhanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Aleksis Kurttila's late challenge caught a FCB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aleksis Kurttila helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Sporting Ratboy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksis Kurttila to maneuver through the defense. Kaleva Jaakola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsi Oksa in the 94th minute of the match. Kustaa Ruhanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaleva Jaakola having to interfere. Petri Lampi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Enola having to interfere. The Sporting Ratboy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FCB from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
