The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Kiuru during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elias Kiuru hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute of the match Kustaa Tuominen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arttu Riippa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kim Penttilä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arttu Riippa having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Northern Villa FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaakkima Petriläinen. Arttu Riippa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Penttilä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Menikkala IFK booed when Northern Villa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahti Jaakola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilmari Hiukka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Janne Kananen made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Menikkala IFK's Kim Penttilä sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arttu Riippa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jari Meltoranta kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes in the game, Jari Meltoranta got a free kick from a good position and fired away a shot. The shot didn't have enough spin and went out of bounds to the left of the goal. After some careless play in the Northern Villa FC defense, Kim Penttilä kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arttu Riippa. The Northern Villa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arttu Riippa should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Penttilä in the 27th minute of play forced Northern Villa FC's goalkeeper Arttu Riippa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arttu Joensuu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arttu Riippa having to interfere. In the 40thth minute of the game Sulho Kauppinen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Northern Villa FC's Arttu Riippa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahti Jaakola hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Northern Villa FC's Arttu Riippa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sulho Kauppinen in the 47th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Northern Villa FC's Uljas Ronkainen got a free kick in the 47th minute. Sulho Kauppinen scored 0-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arttu Riippa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Northern Villa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Menikkala IFK were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sulho Kauppinen to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Northern Villa FC's Jari Meltoranta got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sulho Kauppinen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arttu Riippa having to make a save. 70 minutes into the game, Kim Penttilä was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menikkala IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Northern Villa FC the free kick. A collision led to Menikkala IFK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Kim Penttilä hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Sulho Kauppinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arttu Riippa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-3 became the score in the 76th minute when Sulho Kauppinen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Menikkala IFK's goalkeeper Janne Kananen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kim Penttilä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arttu Riippa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kim Penttilä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arttu Riippa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sulho Kauppinen in the 85th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Northern Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sulho Kauppinen came free, but Arttu Riippa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Sulho Kauppinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menikkala IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sulho Kauppinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arttu Riippa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sulho Kauppinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Menikkala IFK played a much better game than Northern Villa FC and deserved their victory. The Northern Villa FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
