Spectators: 7099 (Terracing: 5221, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 95) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sampo Grönholm started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasmus Petsamo to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Rauli Viljamaa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorma Mäkilä showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hannes Kaikkonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hannes Kaikkonen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Aatu Pettinen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jaakkima Saastamoinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorma Mäkilä having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Manchester City's Aatu Pettinen threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sampo Grönholm, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tarvo Katila kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Nissi got a freekick which was hit by Tarvo Katila. Hannes Kaikkonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Rasmus Petsamo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Päiviö Repo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorma Mäkilä came out of the goal and Päiviö Repo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Rasmus Petsamo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jorma Mäkilä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaakkima Saastamoinen in the 43rd minute of play. Voitto Ilola hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Jaakkima Saastamoinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorma Mäkilä having to interfere.

The wind increased when Jaakkima Saastamoinen made the kick off in the second half. Hannes Kaikkonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aatu Pettinen having to interfere. In the 55th minute Alvi Törmänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aatu Pettinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Päiviö Repo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Nissi's Jorma Mäkilä threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaakkima Saastamoinen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Nissi's Rauli Viljamaa got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute Jaakkima Saastamoinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorma Mäkilä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaakkima Saastamoinen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorma Mäkilä read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. If Päiviö Repo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasmus Petsamo to maneuver through the defense. Rauli Viljamaa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorma Mäkilä. Manchester City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Jaakkima Saastamoinen came free, but Jorma Mäkilä reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Jaakkima Saastamoinen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester City's Jorma Mäkilä was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sampo Grönholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sampo Grönholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aatu Pettinen having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
