Spectators: 7691 (Terracing: 5848, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marko Nikkinen got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Tuomas Pentsinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kimmo Hakanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Sakari Tukio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marko Nikkinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Villikkala IFK's goalkeeper Sakari Tukio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kimmo Hakanen. 26 minutes into the match, Marko Nikkinen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sakari Tukio, 1-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Marko Nikkinen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kilpi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marko Nikkinen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarkko Manninen's late challenge caught a FC Kilpi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarkko Manninen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Villikkala IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarkko Manninen to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, FC Kilpi's Konsta Tuomainen tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Villikkala IFK's Gabriel Salminen got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jyrki Raisanen scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Voitto Tervo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Villikkala IFK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marko Nikkinen 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Villikkala IFK booed when FC Kilpi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juuso Peltomaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sakari Tukio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsti Setälä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuomas Pentsinen during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Kilpi getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tuomas Pentsinen hit a great ball. Jyrki Raisanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes Villikkala IFK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Konsta Tuomainen who took care of the corner kick. In the 92nd minute, Marko Nikkinen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Kilpi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2.
