Spectators: 6840 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sulho Kauppinen took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Kim Penttilä came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Menikkala IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Penttilä couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Penttilä in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aatu Pettinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sulho Kauppinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aatu Pettinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Rauli Viljamaa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nissi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menikkala IFK the free kick. A collision led to Nissi getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Rauli Viljamaa hit a great ball. If Jaakkima Saastamoinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Nissi's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Penttilä came free, but Aatu Pettinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sulho Kauppinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aatu Pettinen having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aatu Pettinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 34 minutes, Ale Myllykoski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menikkala IFK and the Nissi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Ale Myllykoski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaakkima Saastamoinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaakkima Saastamoinen to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jaakkima Saastamoinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nissi's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaakkima Saastamoinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janne Kananen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Janne Kananen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaakkima Saastamoinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Aatu Pettinen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Arttu Joensuu. Kim Penttilä charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Penttilä the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nissi booed when Menikkala IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Penttilä didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Päiviö Repo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Janne Kananen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Nissi's goalkeeper Aatu Pettinen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Penttilä. Päiviö Repo might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Janne Kananen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Päiviö Repo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaakkima Saastamoinen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janne Kananen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Päiviö Repo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Päiviö Repo in the 86th minute of play forced Menikkala IFK's goalkeeper Janne Kananen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim Penttilä blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aatu Pettinen having to make a save. After having played for 92 minutes, Sulho Kauppinen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menikkala IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sulho Kauppinen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Kim Penttilä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Menikkala IFK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nissi from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
