Menikkala IFK's Kim Penttilä got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ale Myllykoski charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ale Myllykoski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ale Myllykoski kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Villikkala IFK's Sakari Tukio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Penttilä in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villikkala IFK's goalkeeper Sakari Tukio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Menikkala IFK's Ale Myllykoski got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Villikkala IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Arttu Joensuu came free, but Sakari Tukio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sulho Kauppinen in the 24th minute of play forced Villikkala IFK's goalkeeper Sakari Tukio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Menikkala IFK's Sulho Kauppinen in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villikkala IFK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st match minute, Villikkala IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarkko Manninen to maneuver through the defense. Kustaa Tuominen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kim Penttilä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Sakari Tukio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sulho Kauppinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Ale Myllykoski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sulho Kauppinen's late challenge caught a Villikkala IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sulho Kauppinen helped the player get up and apologised. Sulho Kauppinen kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 59 minutes of play, Villikkala IFK's Gabriel Salminen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Janne Kananen was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Menikkala IFK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Martti Raninen hit a great ball. In the 64th minute Roope Petsamo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janne Kananen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sakari Tukio made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Kim Penttilä sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Arttu Joensuu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sakari Tukio was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Kim Penttilä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakari Tukio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jyrki Raisanen in the 80th minute of play forced Menikkala IFK's goalkeeper Janne Kananen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Kim Penttilä cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sakari Tukio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Kim Penttilä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakari Tukio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arttu Joensuu in the 89th minute of the match. Sakari Tukio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kim Penttilä in the 90th minute. Janne Kananen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Raisanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Jyrki Raisanen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Janne Kananen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Villikkala IFK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
