Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Elmer Ranne made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute Timo Hakanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veikka Multaharju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo Hakanen might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Veikka Multaharju. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timo Hakanen ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaro Puhakainen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veikka Multaharju read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Elmer Ranne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köpböle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmer Ranne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hannu Hakaniemi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, FC Suntti's Aaro Puhakainen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veikka Multaharju narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Suntti's Eero Lahtinen got a free kick in the 39th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Köpböle FC's Juhani Tuuri tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Teijo Niinimaa charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teijo Niinimaa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes FC Suntti got a freekick which was hit by Teijo Niinimaa. If Harri Palenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aaro Puhakainen to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marko Meltoranta during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in FC Suntti's zone, Elmer Ranne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hannu Hakaniemi came out of the goal and Elmer Ranne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timo Hakanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes FC Suntti got a freekick which was hit by Eero Lahtinen. After 75 played minutes, Köpböle FC's Juhani Tuuri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hannu Hakaniemi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Köpböle FC reached it. After 78 minutes of play, Köpböle FC's Elmer Ranne made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hannu Hakaniemi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 81 played minutes Köpböle FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesse Wallen. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Eero Lahtinen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Elmer Ranne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hannu Hakaniemi having to make a save. Elmer Ranne might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hannu Hakaniemi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elmer Ranne ran back to his position shaking his head. After 90 played minutes FC Suntti got a freekick which was hit by Aimo Lindberg. If Harri Palenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Anssi Myllyniemi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Suntti's Hannu Hakaniemi. Hannu Hakaniemi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Köpböle FC had played much better football throughout.
