Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hannes Puikkonen started the match with the kick off. If Reko Hannukainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Höljäkkä getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Pellervo Ikola hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Höljäkkä's goal looked a bit too open when Hannes Puikkonen came free, but Toni Saira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pellervo Ikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Höljäkkä's Kalervo Sainomaa in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PSY's goalie prevented a goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 38th match minute, PSY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kalle Martikainen to maneuver through the defense. Pellervo Ikola kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The free kick in the 39th minute by Pellervo Ikola was well hit, but to his irritation, it went to the left of the post instead of in the goal. Pellervo Ikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tahvo Pikkarainen having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Höljäkkä's Pellervo Ikola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tahvo Pikkarainen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kalervo Sainomaa made a kick off. Toni Saira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Puikkonen in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Hannes Puikkonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Saira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Höljäkkä's goalkeeper Toni Saira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reko Hannukainen. PSY's Reko Hannukainen managed to work through Höljäkkä's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Reko Hannukainen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Tahvo Pikkarainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pellervo Ikola in the 70th minute of the match. Pellervo Ikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kalervo Sainomaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toni Saira made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Reko Hannukainen sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arsi Halonen during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Höljäkkä's Arsi Halonen got a free kick in the 76th minute. Reko Hannukainen made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 77thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Toni Saira would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Hannes Puikkonen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in PSY's zone, Pellervo Ikola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tahvo Pikkarainen came out of the goal and Pellervo Ikola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tahvo Pikkarainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalervo Sainomaa in the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Hannes Puikkonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Saira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kalervo Sainomaa came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Höljäkkä fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kalervo Sainomaa couldn't finish the play. PSY's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
