The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Majuri getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Nuutti Nikkari hit a great ball. Pietari Puutio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalervo Sainomaa in the 16th minute of play. Uoti Kuuttinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Saira having to interfere. Pietari Puutio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pellervo Ikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Majuri's Uoti Kuuttinen came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Toni Saira had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 25 minutes into the match, Höljäkkä's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Kopola came free, but Toni Saira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kalervo Sainomaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pietari Puutio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Majuri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Höljäkkä had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
