After a defensive mix-up in Höljäkkä's zone, Reko Hannukainen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toni Saira came out of the goal and Reko Hannukainen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pellervo Ikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Ahvo Penttilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hannes Puikkonen came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the PSY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Puikkonen couldn't finish the play. Toni Saira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Puikkonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Pellervo Ikola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tahvo Pikkarainen. PSY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pellervo Ikola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joni Holmström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tahvo Pikkarainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Uuno Harinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PSY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Höljäkkä the free kick. Tahvo Pikkarainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalervo Sainomaa in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of PSY booed when Höljäkkä was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahvo Penttilä didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommi Määttänen has a good long shot, which he once again showed in the 33rd minute of the match. Unfortunately the ball hit the outside of the left post. When Arsi Halonen fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Höljäkkä's protests and gave Arsi Halonen a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Höljäkkä got a freekick which was hit by Arsi Halonen. A collision led to Höljäkkä getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Arsi Halonen hit a great ball. If Hannes Puikkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48thth minute of the game Hannes Puikkonen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Höljäkkä's Toni Saira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Hannes Puikkonen made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hannes Puikkonen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toni Saira was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. A collision led to Höljäkkä getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Urho Penttilä hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Tommi Määttänen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toni Saira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reko Hannukainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Saira having to interfere. Toni Saira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hannes Puikkonen in the 59th minute of the match. Toni Saira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reko Hannukainen in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Teuvo Hakanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Höljäkkä's supporters rose to their feet, but Teuvo Hakanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahvo Pikkarainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PSY! When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Höljäkkä's Ahvo Penttilä got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tahvo Pikkarainen. 86 minutes into the match, PSY's Reko Hannukainen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toni Saira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Hannes Puikkonen came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the PSY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Puikkonen couldn't finish the play. If Pellervo Ikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Joni Holmström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
