But to his dismay, Teemu Santala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Hemmo Suoraniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Joonatan Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Aapeli Viinikainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When KooTeePee's Atso Kangaskorpi in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zenit's zone, Atso Kangaskorpi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joonatan Lindberg came out of the goal and Atso Kangaskorpi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joonatan Lindberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atso Kangaskorpi's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atso Kangaskorpi in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joonatan Lindberg saved FC Zenit from getting behind. Joonatan Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atso Kangaskorpi, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Päiviö Huokko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joonatan Lindberg skillfully saved the ball.

Mika Kaipainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pauli Junnila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th match minute, KooTeePee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilmari Miettinen to maneuver through the defense. KooTeePee's supporters rose to their feet, but Atso Kangaskorpi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joonatan Lindberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Hemmo Suoraniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atso Kangaskorpi in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joonatan Lindberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 93 minutes into the game, Henrikki Palsola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joonatan Lindberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. KooTeePee were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
