After a defensive mix-up in Kikkihiiri's zone, Anselmi Kokkonen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Konttila came out of the goal and Anselmi Kokkonen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kikkihiiri's goalkeeper Aaron Konttila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Lauri Suominen put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Konttila. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauri Suominen in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Konttila saved Kikkihiiri from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Lauri Suominen put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Konttila. Kikkihiiri's Aaron Konttila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taavi Kiviranta in the 29th minute of play. Taavi Kiviranta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Lauri Suominen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lauri Suominen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Konttila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the game, Gunners's Lauri Suominen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aaron Konttila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.

When Lauri Suominen came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauri Suominen couldn't finish the play. Anselmi Kokkonen struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Aaron Konttila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunners. Aaron Konttila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauri Suominen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. August Puro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aaron Konttila. Kikkihiiri's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 71st minute Lauri Suominen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Konttila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Verneri Kolsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Konttila having to interfere. If Ossi Vainionpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Verneri Kolsi. In the 83rd minute, Ilpo Paatelainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Lauri Suominen put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Konttila. Aaron Konttila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauri Suominen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kikkihiiri booed when Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taavi Kiviranta didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauri Suominen in the 97th minute of play forced Kikkihiiri's goalkeeper Aaron Konttila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gunners fully deserved thier win.
