Miko Peltola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iivari Kauppila in the 3rd minute of the match. Marko Enola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miko Peltola having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Tommi Kuusiniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leppada FC's goalkeeper Urpo Vihermäki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 33 minutes, Sulo Kokkila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leppada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sulo Kokkila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joakim Noronen was slow to take the kick. During this time Ylämaa's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ylämaa's corner Santtu Peltoniemi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Urpo Vihermäki quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Raimo Eloranta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urpo Vihermäki having to interfere. When Tommi Kuusiniemi came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ylämaa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommi Kuusiniemi couldn't finish the play. Santtu Peltoniemi charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santtu Peltoniemi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ylämaa getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Santtu Peltoniemi hit a great ball. Tommi Kuusiniemi scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urpo Vihermäki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommi Kuusiniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Urpo Vihermäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute Raimo Eloranta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urpo Vihermäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
