A collision led to Gunners getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. August Puro hit a great ball. Gunners's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauri Suominen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After 51 minutes of play, Gunners's Lauri Suominen made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miko Peltola was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ylämaa's goalkeeper Miko Peltola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gunners's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lauri Suominen in the 63rd minute. Gunners's Ylermi Väänänen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommi Kuusiniemi in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Ylämaa booed when Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 90th match minute, Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Puro to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Ylämaa's Raimo Eloranta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ylermi Väänänen. Ylermi Väänänen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. 96 minutes into the match, Gunners's Taavi Kiviranta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miko Peltola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gunners's Verneri Kolsi got a free kick in the 97th minute. Joakim Noronen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
