Mennää FC's Silvo Uusiniemi got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alpi Pietiläinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimo Eloranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match, Silvo Uusiniemi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miko Peltola saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Turo Paatelainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ylämaa's Raimo Eloranta in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mennää FC's goalie prevented a goal. Raimo Eloranta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tommi Kuusiniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommi Kuusiniemi in the 42nd minute of play forced Mennää FC's goalkeeper Alpi Pietiläinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ylämaa's zone, Turo Paatelainen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miko Peltola came out of the goal and Turo Paatelainen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mennää FC's Alpi Pietiläinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimo Eloranta in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvo Uusiniemi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Turo Paatelainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miko Peltola having to interfere. If Aleksi Kuuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Mennää FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Lehtinen to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Lehtinen during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Lehtinen kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Raimo Eloranta struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Alpi Pietiläinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ylämaa. Raimo Eloranta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raimo Eloranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Turo Paatelainen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miko Peltola having to make a save. Raimo Eloranta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpi Pietiläinen having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Mennää FC got a freekick which was hit by Mika Kiviranta. With his leg Alpi Pietiläinen managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Ylämaa's Raimo Eloranta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Raimo Eloranta came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ylämaa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimo Eloranta couldn't finish the play. Tommi Kuusiniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alpi Pietiläinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alpi Pietiläinen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimo Eloranta went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 89 minutes, Aleksi Kuuri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ylämaa and the Mennää FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Ylämaa got a freekick which was hit by Aleksi Kuuri. Mika Kiviranta charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mika Kiviranta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mennää FC's Mika Kiviranta got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Tommi Kuusiniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Raimo Eloranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mennää FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ylämaa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
