In the 5th minute, Gunners's August Puro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed August Puro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gunners protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and August Puro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 4 minutes into the game, one of Gunners:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aatu Vaakanainen made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Verneri Kolsi sent off a good shot on target. If Lauri Suominen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ylermi Väänänen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Wallenius in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Rovala FC's Juhapekka Vatanen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ylermi Väänänen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Kalle Wallenius came free, but Ylermi Väänänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Taavi Kiviranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauri Suominen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lauri Suominen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aatu Vaakanainen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauri Suominen in the 46th minute. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Lauri Suominen took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Aatu Vaakanainen to make any attempt to save it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kalle Wallenius to make the kick off. If Lauri Suominen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Gunners's Lauri Suominen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aatu Vaakanainen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When Taavi Kiviranta came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taavi Kiviranta couldn't finish the play. Ossi Vainionpää blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aatu Vaakanainen having to make a save. Lauri Suominen took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aatu Vaakanainen. Aatu Vaakanainen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Anselmi Kokkonen hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rovala FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Teuvo Seikola hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauri Suominen in the 70th minute of play forced Rovala FC's goalkeeper Aatu Vaakanainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Verneri Kolsi struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Aatu Vaakanainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunners. If Verneri Kolsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ylermi Väänänen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 4-3. Tero Ranne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Ylermi Väänänen made a huge save. Jyrki Sulin made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ari Salmela immediately put the ball in play. In the 89th minute of the match Sylvesteri Lumijärvi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aatu Vaakanainen skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Lauri Suominen put it in 5-4 from a short distance just to the right of Aatu Vaakanainen. Taavi Kiviranta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunners walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
