After a defensive mix-up in Crijevčići.FK's zone, Perttu Kivi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Pihlman came out of the goal and Perttu Kivi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maunu Vallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maunu Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 11 minutes, Tuukka Lönnblad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crijevčići.FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuukka Lönnblad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Juha-Pekka Karhu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Crijevčići.FK's Patrick Sulonen tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Maunu Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heino Myllylä hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Perttu Kivi came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Minnesota Wild fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perttu Kivi couldn't finish the play. Perttu Kivi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Otto Pihlman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maunu Vallin took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Pihlman. Otto Pihlman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

53 minutes into the game, Perttu Kivi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minnesota Wild's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crijevčići.FK the free kick. After 53 played minutes Minnesota Wild got a freekick which was hit by Perttu Kivi. Otto Pihlman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perttu Kivi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Crijevčići.FK booed when Minnesota Wild was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hemminki Väätäinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59th play minutes Tuukka Lönnblad shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Rainer Vihtilä and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Minnesota Wild's Rainer Vihtilä got control of the ball when Kerkko Moskuvaara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maunu Vallin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tuukka Lönnblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Vihtilä having to interfere. Maunu Vallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Otto Pihlman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crijevčići.FK's Otto Pihlman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maunu Vallin in the 92nd minute of play. If Kerkko Moskuvaara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
