When Samuli Paananen fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jukara IFK's protests and gave Samuli Paananen a yellow card for diving instead. Samuli Paananen hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Roope Myötänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roope Myötänen might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Jokilahti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roope Myötänen ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Ahto Ylönen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eerikki Penttinen was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 21st minute of the match, Ahto Ylönen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eerikki Penttinen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jukara IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahto Ylönen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roope Myötänen to make the kick off. Jukara IFK's Ahto Ylönen got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 53 minutes of play, Jukara IFK's Ahto Ylönen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eerikki Penttinen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Tomi Bärlund in the 63rd minute really tested Ali Jokilahti's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kasperi Kangaskorpi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ali Jokilahti firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Roope Myötänen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Billnäs's supporters rose to their feet, but Roope Myötänen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Jokilahti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Samuli Paananen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eerikki Penttinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jukara IFK's Vesa Laitila got a free kick in the 76th minute. Samuli Paananen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eerikki Penttinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Billnäs's Roope Myötänen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ali Jokilahti. That made the score 1-1 after 89 minutes of play. Jukara IFK's Ali Jokilahti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roope Myötänen in the 93rd minute of play. Kasperi Kangaskorpi struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ali Jokilahti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Billnäs. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
