Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, one of Tennäs FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Kuurtola's Ilkka Hagman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Henrik Vallin. The crowd rose to their feet as Kuurtola's Teemu Henriksson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henrik Vallin. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arvo Niemivirta to make the kick off. Tennäs FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Niko Rantala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antti Lydman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tennäs FC's goalkeeper Henrik Vallin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kuurtola's Usko Raisanen got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
