Spectators: 7581 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sami Järvenpää took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Eelis Saarelainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uimaharju's supporters rose to their feet, but Eelis Saarelainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pellervo Kaltiainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uuno Hartikainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Urho Latvanen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 16thth minute of the game Sami Järvenpää who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uimaharju's Pekka Harju was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Uimaharju's Uuno Hartikainen got a free kick in the 16th minute. Ronianemi's Pellervo Kaltiainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eelis Saarelainen in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Uimaharju booed when Ronianemi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henri Koivuniemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Ronianemi's goal looked a bit too open when Eelis Saarelainen came free, but Pellervo Kaltiainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sulevi Heino might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pellervo Kaltiainen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sulevi Heino ran back to his position shaking his head. After 29 played minutes Ronianemi got a freekick which was hit by Markku Jaakola. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Ronianemi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Uimaharju:s goal. Markku Jaakola hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Sulevi Heino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Pellervo Kaltiainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eelis Saarelainen was the one to do the kick off. Ronianemi's Pellervo Kaltiainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eelis Saarelainen in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Sami Järvenpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pekka Harju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sami Järvenpää in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pekka Harju prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uimaharju's goalkeeper Pekka Harju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Uimaharju getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ossi Reponen hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Sami Järvenpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pekka Harju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Uimaharju's Pietari Santahuhta got a free kick in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Uimaharju's Eelis Saarelainen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pellervo Kaltiainen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 played minutes Ronianemi got a freekick which was hit by Pertti Ristolainen. The crowd rose to their feet as Uimaharju's Pietari Santahuhta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pellervo Kaltiainen. That made the score 0-1 after 67 minutes of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Sami Järvenpää managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ronianemi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sami Järvenpää was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pietari Santahuhta during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Uimaharju's Pietari Santahuhta got a free kick in the 78th minute. Pekka Harju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urho Latvanen in the 79th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uimaharju fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! Uimaharju's Eelis Saarelainen got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Urho Latvanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uimaharju's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
