Spectators: 7724 (Terracing: 5794, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Topias Nurminen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Palokka FC's Martti Möksy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iiro Junkka in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anttoni Parkkali in the 7th minute of play forced Palokka FC's goalkeeper Martti Möksy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Iiro Junkka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Palokka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anttoni Parkkali came free, but Martti Möksy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Palokka FC defense, Alvi Niskala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martti Möksy. The Palokka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martti Möksy should have stopped the shot. After 19 played minutes, Lapinjärvi's Matti Arkivuo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martti Möksy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lapinjärvi reached it. Martti Möksy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anttoni Parkkali in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Kari Puhakainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palokka FC and the Lapinjärvi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Palokka FC got a freekick which was hit by Kari Puhakainen. A collision led to Lapinjärvi getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ossi Reimari hit a great ball. Topias Nurminen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Viljo Vihtilä tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Uoti Eskola fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palokka FC's protests and gave Uoti Eskola a yellow card for diving instead. Uoti Eskola kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Alvi Niskala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anttoni Parkkali blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martti Möksy having to make a save. Martti Möksy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvi Niskala, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After the first half Lapinjärvi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Martti Möksy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anttoni Parkkali's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Anttoni Parkkali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anttoni Parkkali struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Martti Möksy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapinjärvi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ossi Reimari in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martti Möksy saved Palokka FC from getting behind. Uoti Eskola was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Palokka FC's Uoti Eskola got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The audience was convinced that Anttoni Parkkali's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martti Möksy was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Alvi Niskala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 71 minutes, Alvi Niskala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lapinjärvi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvi Niskala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anttoni Parkkali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Martti Möksy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martti Möksy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Miikka Kallioniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ossi Reimari hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Ensio Holtti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konsta Holmström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lapinjärvi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
