Spectators: 7581 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Atro Laulaja got the match started through his kick off. Urho Latvanen in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Harri Kaski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 7thth minute of the game Atro Laulaja who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ronianemi's Pellervo Kaltiainen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jan Valin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ampola IFK's Atro Laulaja in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ronianemi's goalie prevented a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ampola IFK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Veijo Noronen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hemmo Hahto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pellervo Kaltiainen having to interfere. Ronianemi's Pellervo Kaltiainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hemmo Hahto in the 27th minute of play. Orvo Huttunen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Hemmo Hahto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pellervo Kaltiainen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jan Valin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Harri Kaski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sami Järvenpää, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Ampola IFK's Orvo Huttunen in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ronianemi's goalie prevented a goal. The Ronianemi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ampola IFK were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sami Järvenpää was the one to do the kick off. Orvo Huttunens short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Pellervo Kaltiainen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 55th minute, Urho Latvanen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ronianemi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orvo Huttunen in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pellervo Kaltiainen saved Ronianemi from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Ampola IFK's Orvo Huttunen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pellervo Kaltiainen. Pellervo Kaltiainen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. If Jyri Sinisalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veijo Noronen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pellervo Kaltiainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Orvo Huttunen made it 2-5 with a short kick to the right side. Ronianemi's Pellervo Kaltiainen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute Sami Järvenpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harri Kaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 played minutes Ronianemi got a freekick which was hit by Marko Pursiainen. In the 77th play minute Orvo Huttunen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pellervo Kaltiainen. 2-6. Pellervo Kaltiainen came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ampola IFK's Orvo Huttunen. But to his dismay, Orvo Huttunen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-7. If Orvo Huttunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Orvo Huttunen put it in 2-8 from a short distance just to the right of Pellervo Kaltiainen. Ampola IFK played a much better game than Ronianemi and deserved their victory. The Ronianemi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
