After a defensive mix-up in Uimaharju's zone, Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pekka Harju came out of the goal and Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uimaharju's Pekka Harju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miska Mansikkamäki in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Uimaharju got a freekick which was hit by Ossi Reponen. Eelis Saarelainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reima Kokkila having to interfere. Uimaharju's Sulevi Heino got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Taati FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Artturi Määttänen hit a great ball. Reima Kokkila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eelis Saarelainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Taati FC's Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Taati FC's Reima Kokkila got control of the ball when Sulevi Heino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Taati FC's Miska Mansikkamäki made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pekka Harju was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sulevi Heino made the kick off in the second half. Pekka Harju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Sulevi Heino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Reima Kokkila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuure Ruhanen charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuure Ruhanen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uimaharju booed when Taati FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuure Ruhanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvo Sjögren hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Miska Mansikkamäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pekka Harju saved Uimaharju from getting behind. 74 minutes into the game, Ossi Reponen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uimaharju's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taati FC the free kick. Ossi Reponen kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Taati FC's Miska Mansikkamäki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pekka Harju made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 87th match minute, Uimaharju was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Perämäki to maneuver through the defense. Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute Jukka-Pekka Kangasalusta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pekka Harju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Uimaharju fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Taati FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
