Spectators: 7738 (Terracing: 5805, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Alfred Forss started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kaj Kopola charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaj Kopola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Pajasalmi IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Kopola to maneuver through the defense. Broberg IF's Jyrki Peteri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pajasalmi IFK. After 6 played minutes Pajasalmi IFK got a freekick which was hit by Leo Kangasmäki. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atte Virta during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Pajasalmi IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atte Virta to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 10 minutes, Rauli Suoraniemi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Broberg IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rauli Suoraniemi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erno Marttila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15thth minute of the game Erno Marttila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Broberg IF's Touko Puutio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uuno Eronen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henri Seppo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, Broberg IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Forss to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play, Pajasalmi IFK's Erno Marttila made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Touko Puutio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rauli Suoraniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Uuno Eronen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riku Tikka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uuno Eronen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Pajasalmi IFK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Erno Marttila hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erno Marttila in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Touko Puutio saved Broberg IF from getting behind. Rauli Suoraniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Uuno Eronen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rauli Suoraniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uuno Eronen having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erno Marttila to strike the kick off in the second half. Rauli Suoraniemi struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Uuno Eronen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broberg IF. Uuno Eronen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rauli Suoraniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Erno Marttila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Touko Puutio having to make a save. Touko Puutio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ari Liimatainen in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ari Liimatainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajasalmi IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ari Liimatainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Touko Puutio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Broberg IF's Henri Seppo got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Alfred Forss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Touko Puutio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ari Liimatainen went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Broberg IF's Riku Tikka got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erno Marttila in the 78th minute of play forced Broberg IF's goalkeeper Touko Puutio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ari Liimatainen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Touko Puutio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Touko Puutio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erno Marttila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ari Liimatainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Kangasmäki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Touko Puutio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Broberg IF's goalkeeper Touko Puutio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ari Liimatainen. In the 96th minute Erno Marttila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Touko Puutio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erno Marttila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Touko Puutio having to interfere. The Broberg IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pajasalmi IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Pajasalmi IFK.
